Look who was ready for our next adventure! Even though there was a lot of time spent driving in the car (12 hours there and back), we had fun reading books, playing with puzzles, singing, eating, and making Mikey laugh! Sophie and Sasha were in the back and every so often they would give you a little hello kiss :) You also loved when we went off-roading and would giggle at all the fun bumps and jostles.
You loved seeing GranEllen and GranTim! We stayed in a huge house with some of their old friends and Auntie Laura came with us, too!
We went on lots of hikes through the forest! You rode on daddy's back or walked next to him. He showed you all the neat things in the forest and helped you collect tree bark, pine cones, and pine needles.
Riding on his back was pretty relaxing, though, so you made the most of it and got lots of beauty sleep :)
Everyone loved playing with you, since their grandchildren didn't come or they didn't have any of their own, yet. They all adopted you :)
You even got to ride in a boat on the beautiful lake! You fell asleep in GranTim's arms about two minutes after leaving the dock. When you woke up there was a fishing rod waiting for you! Gerald brought it especially for you to try :)
You and GranTim bonded on this trip :) You always wanted to sit in his lap or hold his hand. While we were off-roading, he sometimes had to get out and help Daddy maneuver around rocks and you always got so concerned that we were going to leave him behind on top of the mountain!
I love that you enjoy seeing new things and meeting new people!
